This year's Science Day (29.06.2019) was held under the motto "smart and clever".
Program 2019
The Institute of Automotive Engineering IFS Stuttgart also opened its doors to interested visitors and offered exciting insights into current research projects. Information was also provided about studies, training and further education.
In this context, research facilities such as the new vehicle dynamics test bench, the large 1:1 vehicle wind tunnel, the vehicle model wind tunnel or the driving simulator could be visited. Expert staff introduced visitors to the complex topics and research projects.
The IFS and the Forschungsinstitut für Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren Stuttgart (FKFS) are engaged in intensive research cooperation.
The institute is also home to the racing, green and driverless teams of the University of Stuttgart, which very successfully develop student and autonomous racing vehicles for the Formula Student competition. The Science Day also enabled the visitors to look over the shoulder of the team members.
We would like to thank all visitors and employees who made a successful Science Day 2019 possible.
